About Candice

INSPIRED BY THE TIMELESS SILK SCARF

Designer Candice Held in her Palm Springs home

Candice Held designs her own original prints for her silk scarves, fashion silhouettes, and home textiles.  Candice also designs each garment silhouette herself, from concept to sketch, draping, paper pattern and production sample.

She relocated to Palm Springs from Los Angeles in November 2013.  The desert is a natural setting for her vibrantly colored silk scarf dresses and tunics.

A pioneer in upcycled fashion, Candice is also known for her unique and original one-of-a-kind dresses made from recycled vintage scarves.   Since 2000, she has taken pride in incorporating eco-friendly, recycled materials.

Working with so many prints and colors while designing her vintage line inspired Candice to begin designing her own textile prints.  In addition to designing for her own line, she has also designed prints for companies such as Equipment, Rachel Zoe, and Kenneth Jay Lane Scarves.

Many celebrities have been photographed in original Candice Held dresses from their own personal collections, including Beyoncé, Paris Hilton, Halle Berry, Britney Spears, Drew Barrymore, Carmen Electra, Christina Applegate, Drew Barrymore, Maria Sharapova, and Tyra Banks.  Tyra featured Candice on her “Top 5 Hottest Designers to Watch” show.

Textile fashions for the home are also available by special order. Inspired by classic Palm Springs design, the collection features home textiles and wallpaper printed with windmills, concrete blocks, palm leaves, and more.  Candice's latest collection is Chinoiserie themed. Martyn Lawrence Bullard chose Candice's "Pink Pagoda" for the Master Suites at his project The Prospect Hollywood hotel, which was prominently featured in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, and many more design magazines. Her cane print wallpaper was featured in Better Homes and Gardens magazine.
